GREECE

Greece is, of course, the land of ancient sites and architectural treasures -- the Acropolis in Athens, the amphitheatre of Epidaurus, and the reconstructed palace at Knossos being among the best known. It offers age-old spectacular natural sights, for instance -- from Santorini's caldera to the gray pinnacles of rock of the Meteora, -- and modern diversions ranging from elegant museums to luxury resorts.

Athens
Visit one of the oldest cities in the world and admire the wonderful culture that made it a center for the arts, learning and philosophy. Visit the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. See the Zappion Garden, the Temple of Zeus. Visit the Parthenon, temple of the goddess of wisdom Athena, the Erechteion and the Museum of Acropolis.

Santorini
The island of Santorini or Thira is located in the Cyclades islands, in the middle of the Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea. It is, along with Mykonos and Crete, the most famous holiday destinations in Greece.

Crete
Few travelers need to be sold on the glories of the Minoan culture of Crete. Visit the Dikti Cave where you can ride a Donkey up the mountain side to the cave where it is believed that Zeus, the father of the Greek gods was born.

ITALY

The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. From Positano to Salerno the Amalfi Coast of Italy offers some of the most divine scenery imaginable. Along this windy coastline, steep rocky slopes rush down to the sea, and tiny villages with colorful houses packed closely together cling to the rugged cliffs.

Pompeii is one of the most significant proofs of Roman civilization and, like an open book, provides outstanding information on the art, customs, trades and everyday life of the past. The city has re-emerged from the darkness of centuries precisely as it would have been when it was unexpectedly buried in the thick layer of ash and lava which poured down from the devastating eruption of Vesuvius.

Visit Capri on a cruising boat with a stop at its famous Blue Grotto. Upon arrival in Ana Capri guests will be led by an experienced guide onto and throughout the Island.
